former previously had eligibility at 6 months of service and is now 2 years; the latter formerly had eligibility at 1 year of service and is now limited to drivers who have achieved 1 million or more safe miles.
anyway this sucks.

I'm talking solely about #Employee drivers who work for a company and are paid via W2. although #WorkerMisclassification is a huge problem in the trucking industry, I'm not familiar enough with all of the ins and outs to speak to it directly. and the experience of #IndependentContractors, #LeaseOperators, and #OwnerOperators is going to be different especially with regards to #WorkersProtections and #WorkersRights. #TruckingLife

73 miles into today and it feels like a good day to remind people that by and large most state-guaranteed #WorkersRights and #WorkersProtections with stress to time worked don't apply to folks if they're a non-union paid per mile over-the-road #TruckDriver. truckers are under the #FMCSA #HoursOfService instead, and it depends largely on the individual employer to not abuse it. #TruckingLife
