What do folks use for code and/or plaintext editing on iPhone?
I recently bought a shonky Bluetooth keyboard that I can keep in my backpack (and not care if it dies), but the editor inside my git client (Working Copy) is mediocre, at best, with a couple of downright annoying behaviours . . .
Is there a genuinely good local-file-editing app for iOS on an iPhone-sized screen? That integrates with other apps (e.g. Working Copy)? #iphone #texteditors #writing #plaintext #apps #apple #WorkingCopy

Waiting in the jury selection room for #JuryDuty. Pulled my latest draft in #WorkingCopy, #AmWriting in #ObsidianMD on my phone one sentence at a time.

I know it's almost certainly an #iOS problem, but the fact that something like #Obsidian needs #WorkingCopy and #Shortcuts to enable something as basic as git is awful. Working Copy is an incredible application, btw. But it's just so stupidly onerous to do this basic thing.

@palmin Hi, I’d love to continue using #workingcopy even if the official GitHub app does what I need, because I love supporting developers. Finances are tight though. Therefore, I wanted to ask if there’s a cheaper or free way to get the signing feature in my account. Thanks!
@birv2 @EpiphanicSynchronicity +2 on using #git and #obsidian - using #WorkingCopy as the git client and iOS Shortcuts to pull when opening Obsidian and commit+push on close - works a charm.
Sweet - now work #Obsidian working on iOS again - only now using #WorkingCopy to handle git operations, and using iOS Automations to trigger a `pull` on opening, `add / commit / push` on closing.
No more janky iCloud sync issues - and paying for Working Copy was cheaper than a subscription to Obsidian Sync :)
Most of the pictures on my website have been updated with Alt Text captions. Long live the markdown format!
Even better yet, thank goodness for the “Working Copy” app! There’s no need to make a sub-branch for my GitHub repository if I need to make any mass changes. It’s a matter of making as many changes as you want, and then just push everything through at once.
Spent the last two days figuring out how to sync my #ObsidianMD vault via #ObsidianGit between my work and home macs, and between my iPhone and iPad via #WorkingCopy (wasn’t successful with obsidiangit on mobile). All good. Now I guess I have to do some writing.

@palmin would it be onerously difficult to make it possible to sign with an ssh key instead of a gpg key?
