Busy day at the clinic for me. Essentially I’m “overbooked” but it’s my own fault. 7.5 hands on hours today, so although there is potentially space for 1 more client tomorrow, I’m blocking it off and finishing early. It’s not my normal shift anyway.

It's my first day back in the office and big, exciting changes are afoot.

Returning to work after #Maternity leave has been a wild ride that knocked me sideways almost as hard as leaving the workforce to have a baby in the first place.

I'm excited to settle into purpose-driven work this year; balancing my drive for career development with the most rewarding yet exhausting job I've ever had - raising tiny human.

Wir haben gerade die Preisanpassung unseres Stromanbieters bekommen. Das bedeutet: Ich gehe ab Februar wieder arbeiten, damit wir die Kita, den Strom und die Heizung bezahlen können. YAY!

U.K. winter sucks. The constant parade of germs and viruses because it’s cold, damp, people are stuck in warm, unventilated environments and don’t stay home when they aren’t well is soul destroying. Because a kid was sent to an activity on Thursday this week unwell, my kid is now unwell. I have to re arrange the next two days to keep them home, and juggle my work life. Kiddo misses activities and feels crap.

I hate the U.K. sometimes. I hate our attitude to illness. #homeeducation #workingmum

Ich lese in einer Twitter-Bio das Wort Familienvater. Na klar, es klingt empathisch, verantwortungsbewusst, stark. „Familienmutter“ hört sich gleich nicht mehr so modern und sexy an. Was sagt man da? #sprachverwirrt
#WorkingMum hat für mich eine andere Konnotation.
