#WorkinMoms s2e9 (2018) - 9/10

1️⃣ #NatalieKrill guests, in the first of three episodes.

2️⃣ Kate’s storyline is the best one here. Pairing her with Alice was a surprise and it made some great scenes. The reconciliation with Anne at the end was very good also.

3️⃣ 5th and final episode for #AngelaAsher as the lady turning Frankie into her dog! So funny. But probably nowhere else to go with that storyline.

Great episode!

1️⃣ At first, there was no focus on Kate. Instead, Ian’s STD and Anne’s daughter were the main stories. Then, Kate’s double life came crashing down around her. Spectacularly. Big laughs amid the very-real drama.

2️⃣ #SadieMunroe is terrific as Alice.

1️⃣ The surprise here was seeing Kate and Anne get into a short-but-ugly fight. Then, later, it looked as if Anne was about to find a new best friend.

2️⃣ The tarot reading felt a bit forced in, but it did give us an ominous cliffhanger.

1️⃣ All three stories - for Kate, for Anne, and for Ian - were really strong. So strong you could easily build an entire sitcom around any one of them.

✅ Anne’s ex-husband resurfaces, Frankie hooks up with some strangers, and (best of all) Kate goes undercover at her new (second) job. Good stories all. And, of course, at this point we are invested in the characters.

✅ Flashback episode done, we return to the present day and all the other regular characters (with their various problems). Despite the serious stories, this is consistently very funny no matter who is on screen. They even find humour in the sudden/shocking death of a minor character, at the very end.
