Hey did you know Tom Robinson has an album which is all of Power in the Darkness, but live, with 2-4-6-8 as an encore? He does! Very nice for those of us who have never gotten around to ripping digital from the vinyl.

Definitely not good #WorkMusic though. At least not for me. Too catchy, too nostalgic, lyrics too meaningfiul.

Alright, time for another #workmusic post! (i should do these on mondays instead...)

This week I needed something calm and steady to get me through some tedious work (generating reports) Considering how chaotic last week was, some peace was needed! Ambient music is perfect for this, and what better music than the album that started it all - Ambient 1: Music for Airports, by Brian Eno.

Although it may not have been the first ambient music, Brian Eno has been credited with pioneering this genre. By creating steady, looping sounds with no mood or temp changes, with periods of silence, the album can be listened to, or ignored, as much as the audience prefers.

If you enjoy this album, I highly recommend checking out the rest of Brian Eno's vast body of work.

In particular, Apollo and Mixing Colours are two other great ambient albums that can be enjoyed while working calmly:
