@mackiwg

Yes, that’s a core one! I’m really interested in the work of metagov.org/ for this reason.

I’ve personally found two big ones especially in coalitions:

1) creating conditions in which people are willing to

2) cultivating comfort and skill to voice concerns without either avoiding conflict or disintegrating into arguments

Today in : brain frazzled from several different projects all demanding time.
1) Still helping people navigating creation of Risk Assessments.
2) Anticipating Tech Support requests from community group which has a new staff member starting today (who will take a lot of strain off the leaders like myself who've been running things)
3) Some work to be done on data cleansing for automation project
4) Fractious teenager who is not learning from my brain frazzles and is also loading herself up.
5) New telly coming later which will need setting up

I have seen a couple of people mention as a thought process, as a way of engaging with others in the same sphere but also a way of archiving progress.

My current role is fairly new; after 20 years in the department in technical support and being a general noseybonk I remained a jack of all trades, a generalist not a specialist. Which kind of worked well with my (likely) mind. But as I said to someone earlier, with that comes a constant anxiety that you'll be unmasked as a stack of cats in a trenchcoat.

I'm now looking at processes within the Department, to automate and optimise using , etc. Working alongside an experienced developer, I'm also learning to create apps with those platforms, whilst describing the underlying work patterns - relationships, mediating artefacts, rules and division of labour. I've always had that as an analytical lens and studied it over the years.

This week the developer and I have a series of meetings with different stakeholders, to finalise the first proper apps that will soon go live, as well as expanding on others that we have in Proof of Concept phase or ideas only.

Next week I have an exam to revise for too!

@EmmaMBearman This sounds interesting. What is ? I assume maybe more to it than talking to yourself while working?

Kicked off an internal blog to share work process and thoughts this year, and wondering what self-hosted static blog comment solutions y'all have found that work.

Tried isso (python, failed) and another that wanted ElasticSearch in docker (too demanding of resources) yesterday ...

Anonymous comments option preferred, it's internal only.
