Cloud providers want us to think that using large Public Clouds is a more efficient utilization of compute than running servers on premises. The reasoning is that servers running on premises stay idle for a lot of time.

I was curious to find out how much idle time there is in the public clouds. It seems like it could be in the range of 40 to 50%.

@dajbelshaw interesting journey!
What comes to my mind when comparing #5G with 4G: 5G has (by design) lower range and higher electricity consumption.
Interesting is also the difference between classic copper #boradband and full fibre connection. The later is not only faster but also has a better #co2 footprint.
So, your friend did a good catch with the full fibre connection.
