It's #WorldBearDay ?
This is my favourite Black Bear encounter: I spotted the youngster when I kayaked around a point in a lake. He was trying to tear down a beaver house. I cautiously approached with a silent stroke (where was mama bear?) when he decided to cool down in the lake - it was a hot summer day after all.
He looked so content and happy lounging in the water.
Grabbed my little Powershot and took this photo from the kayak.
