One day, bored, I pulled out a volume and sat on the ground, reading. I lost days, weeks, and months after that, poring over the entries.
A couple of weeks ago, two heavy boxes arrived at our doorstep. I put the books on a shelf. Last night, we saw our 13-yo head to bed, a World Book volume tucked under his arm.

346 followers · 2664 posts · Server en.osm.townOh wow! I didn’t know that the World Book encyclopedia was still in print! This is the exact brand of encyclopedia that I grew up with and exactly why I started contributing to @wikipedia in 2002.

(I also adored their companion Childcraft set; the Mathemagic volume was the very reason I grew up to love #math.)
