In the last two days Mikaela Shiffrin has won both giant slalom races at Semmering, Austria.

One thing I've noticed in all of her runs there is that she is putting up some of the fastest times through the first sector...where it is not steep at all, the racer is poling out of the start shack, then carving clean turns as speed builds.

I think this bodes well for her future Super G races.
