Today is the thirtieth anniversary of #WorldPressFreedomDay

The annual #WorldPressFreedom Index has revealed a shocking slide, with an unprecedented 31 countries deemed to be in a “very serious situation”, the lowest ranking in the report, up from 21 just two years ago. These include #India, once a beacon of good journalism.

Congratulations to #Norway and #Ireland, 1st and 2nd in the index, and no surprise that the #US has slid to 45th place.
