First champion from mainland Europe. No doubt it'll be a boost for the #sport in Belgium and perhaps across Europe too.

Enjoyed the tournament from start to finish. A lot of young, exciting players coming through the ranks to be excited about in future.

Tuned in a bit late to the #snooker and almost missed Brecel blitzing Selby 4-0. Rewatched the frames, it was essentially four missed pots from Selby. So, as remarkable as Brecel‘s performance has been so far, this could turn around (again) at any point, Selby won’t miss these starters forever. But what a start to this session. It’s everything we could have hoped for: the favorite under pressure. #WorldSnookerChampionship

@teahands @charly22 @chrisshaw @missmelanieh His mentality is truly impressive. I think he's somehow managed to make himself impervious to the pressure of winning.

He said himself in an interview: "I don't care if I win or lose at this point, just happy to be in the final."

He's playing with exactly that mentality in mind, as if he has nothing to lose.

It'll be interesting to see if he can retain this mentality as he approaches the winning line.
