Next stop: Indaiatuba, Brazil
Wednesday we fly off to Brazil for a revisit of Indaiatube and the family we have there. Last time we had a very nice time in the small, but cozy city that you will find about an hour's drive from São Paulo.

Woke up to a fog so thick that everything was grey. After a little time, the sun moved it away and gave us an amazing view as it cleared up.

It is a perfect way to wake up.

Living by the sea is very beautiful.
The change of colours is amazing, especially at dusk on a day with no wind.
The water becomes a mirror showing the purple colours from the sky.

The fishermen use small ships, they need to leave when it is high tide as sometimes their ship will be out of the water when the tide shifts. There can be over 6 meter in difference between low and high tide.

Colourful and the weather makes it look a little worn out.
It has warm days and colder days as the wind and the sea do make it colder.

Bariloche is the main city in the area. Going from here, you can visit the seven lakes. These are all freshwater lakes as the water comes from the melting snow and ice in the mountains.
Spectacular scenery, and on a sunny day, it is pure joy.

Diego Maradona (1960-2020) was a national hero - often thought of as a God in Argentina.

The iconic status is also because Argentina won the World Cup in 1986. In the quarter final against England, Maradona scored a goal using his hand. "The hand of God" is seen as a symbolic revenge for the UK's victory over Argentina in the war over the Malvinas in 1982 (or the Falkland war).

For many people here, nobody will ever be as great as Maradona.

Sunday is antiques market day. On Plaza Dorrego, you will find the Feria de San Telmo that is an antique and flea market.
On the street Defensa, you can find many street vendors on this day too.

And it is Buenos Aires so there is always someone who dances the tango.

In 1919, they began building the tallest building in South America - the Palacio Barolo.

The architect designed a house based on the idea of the owner who wanted to make a building inspired by Danta Alighieri's play "The Divine Comedy".

The house was finished in 1923. In Montevideo, they have a similar building by the same architect and the same theme but made to another family.
