Debo decir que mi aproximación a Wormholes fue cautelosa. Se trata de un juego de ambientación espacial, del tipo "recoger y entregar" compacto. De estas tres cosas, la última fue la que me atraía más, ya que la ciencia ficción no es una temática que me resulte atrapante y hasta la fecha no había encontrado un juego centrado en este estilo que me hubiera gustado realmente. 

 En Wormholes cada jugador tiene su propia nave espacial con la que surcará el espacio, sorteando dificultades, aprovechando su increíble tecnología para crear agujeros de gusano conectando distintos puntos en el universo para entregar a salvo la preciada carga.

Luego de armar el tablero modular tendremos frente a nosotros nuestro mapa de juego donde encontraremos, dependiendo del número de jugadores, entre 8 o 10 planetas. La idea es simple. Vamos a ir robando cartas de estos planetas que representan pasajeros que quieren llegar a ese destino. Una vez que nuestra nave se encuentre adyacente a ese planeta vamos a descartar esas cartas frente a nosotros, la principal fuente de puntos. En nuestro turno podremos movernos hasta tres casillas del tablero. Pronto nos damos cuenta que no será fácil, pero ahí es donde entra el gancho del juego. Cada jugador tiene 5 pares de discos numerados del 1 al 5 y como una acción gratuita podrá soltar el primero que tenga disponible en alguna casilla de tablero. La idea es que cuando un par de números de un jugador están en el tablero, podremos saltar de uno a otro instantáneamente y sin costo alguno. No sólo esto, sino que se podrán usar los de otros jugadores, regalándoles claro, algún punto.

Lo que comienza lento, rápidamente se transforma en un dinámico juego donde hay que saber crear y leer las oportunidades que ofrece el entramado de rutas, planetas y puntos singulares del tablero.
Linda sorpresa me llevé con Wormholes. Capaz alguien pueda criticar el azar en el mazo al robar cartas de planetas, y se entiende, pero dado la agilidad, lo fácil de explicar y lo divertido de su juego yo creo que bien vale la pena.
