Everything from #Grindcore, #DeathMetal , #BlackMetal, #ThrashMetal, #Hardcore, #Punk, #Crust is in there. And probably many more. It's very much Grind, but not the boring fare usually put forward. Intensely original. In short: Wormrot's album "Hiss".

It's eclectic and raw, anthemic and grating and so utterly compelling. Arif's vocals are fantastic. One of my favorite extreme bands at the moment. They hail from Singapore and do the region proud (South East Asia has a ton of crazy metal bands) and I'll be disappointed in any Year End lists that don't have Hiss in the top 10 at least. #HeavyMetal

My uneducated take is that Grindcore is defined by being fast and pummelling. What makes a band stand out is how they can be inventive while staying true to the fundamentals.
This album seems great cause there's always new ideas being thrown in the mix.
