Yesterday, during my never-ending quest to discover cartoon equines, I found Doctor Unicorn. It's about five minutes long, has a manly unicorn doctor, dinosaur vore and a fairy tale parody setting. What else could you want in a cartoon?

Today I found out about #JimHenson's Telling Stories with #TomiedePaola, a puppet show. I watched the first episode, it's really charming. I liked the #StregaNona segment best; the old-timey scene was also cool. The restaurant scene did gross me out because of the meat and poor hygiene. Eugh, that's why I don't like to eat out... but anyway, the rest of the episode was great.

The other furry cartoon I started watching is The Silver Brumby. I'm only 2 episodes into this one, but I have a good first impression. The editing is weird and sometimes the backgrounds seem blurry, like everything is too close up, but otherwise it's good. The villain refers to some characters as "damn young idiots" which amuses me. Is "damn" an ordinary word in Australian children's cartoons?

I'll share some art tomorrow. For now, here's what I've been watching.

First, Jungle Book Shonen Mowgli. Yes, there is a Jungle Book anime! I'm only three episodes in but so far I love it. The wolves are drawn beautifully, especially Mowgli's mother and brothers. The whole thing is legally streaming on youtube. I'm watching the English dub.

Here's a clip I liked. (This youtubetrimmer site makes my adblocker go crazy. I don't know what it's like without it; probably terrible. Just a heads up.)
