My favourite wool shop, Texere Yarns in Bradford, closed about 4 years ago and I still miss it. It was an old mill warehouse absolutely stuffed FULL of different types of yarn. a quick test #spin & chain #ply of the #wool i scoured last month. it still smells quite sheepy (which doesn’t really bother me), and it’s definitely not a next to the skin wool. but it plies into a nice #worsted weight with a subtle sheen, and the 3ply section feels quite a bit softer to the hand than the 2ply. not going to spin skinny with this - it feels softer with less twist, and the staple is plenty long to hold together. #AFC #spinning #yarn
