@dkfbfn lol yep that me... refusing to be critical of fascists.

This would be such a perfect example to put next to the definition of . I posted a thing offering a resource for anarchists, 2 completely unhinged replies later I'm im an abuser and fash sympathizer. Flawless.

Your reply before this one is similarly perfect for "tell me you've never been to a metal show without telling me you've never been to a metal show" Although you meant to reply to somebody else you still @'d me.

For the benefit of anyone else out there as confused as you are on this point: @cursecatsupdairy s comment makes sense in the context of the real fucking world, like, where people go outside and stuff. In that world, shows are =/= Nazi organizing meetings. That does happen rarely, but it would be obvious and no band like ours would ever be invited. Instead, here in the real world, metal shows, even those headlined by bands with members known to be involved with right-wing shit like Taake or something, are attended by people of various political leanings or none. Shows and festivals featuring bands of opposing political persuasions is the norm, so even if the politics of the fan-base mimics the politics of the band (which is not a given except in cases where the band is LOUDLY and EXPLICITLY far left or far right), still most of the crowd will in all likelihood be a reflection of whatever the prevailing politics are in the area it is occurring in. There are of course intentionally anti-fascist and anarchist metal shows and they are billed as such. Same with neo-nazi shows for the most part.

Which is to say that the person you should have @'d instead of me is speaking to the reality of the situation, which is that even on a bill that has mixed right-wing bands playing along left-wing bands, the majority of the audience is likely to be neither.

Anyway, again, that was for anyone else as confused as you are about how shows work in this subculture. I hope those people understand I am not trying to sound combative or belittling to them, I welcome them wholeheartedly. They just happen to find this in my reply to a bored or malicious or both belligerent.
