I needed to check over the data I'm storing about the matches, and decided to make it user UI to kill two stones with one bird. :)
Show history UI was... alarmingly straightforward to implement. :) It turned out the code I'd written in February to store the matchcards... it only ruddy works! :)
I'd like to add much more show and company metadata, and get depth to this game! (And get to the bottom of if the data stored is good) :)

Finally, I can mostly trust characters to walk reliably, and some lovely behaviours are easier to make e.g. if you change the card, the new competitors head to behind the curtain! :)
Even added a simple "the day is over here's your score" popup!
Now this huge character logic hurdle is getting better, I'll start working on developing the stats and data stuff again - its really integral to getting this from a weird 3D viewer to something that's a game. Very happy :)
Woohoo! :) I did things and even recorded the game in action!
Card editing now talks to the game UI, plus I've fixed a mountain of navigation logic bugs.
I am more hopeful than I've dared be in months.
Hope everyone's having a nice night, I'm off to bed as I'm up in 5 hours, worth it! :)

I tried #aew 's new management game on mobile, and more thoughts have come along on this. I am way over-scoping! They have a team, and I'm an Adam.
Current goal will be to look at doing things a little more like Orange Cassidy - not badly, just solving issues when they come up instead of adding all these wacky features in.
I don't know if this will need a full rewrite, we'll see... :/
After an evening sitting picking apart bugs in AI and navigation, I'm feeling overwhelmed and like I've massively over-scoped this game of mine, especially for just me working in my spare time.
I'm not going to make any changes to things yet, but I'm curious: how important is 3D real-time simulation to everyone? It was my unique thing to add, but I'm starting to wonder if anyone will be that jazzed about it?

This merry update is brought to you by Sumatriptan™! Despite a migraine, migraine nap, and other stuff, I managed to solve the bug, and uncover two other small ones to resolve on the way! :)
I also couldn't resist adding in some extra pizazz to the proceedings, so we have mini screens! :)

I spent an evening on pretty camera logic. This is a primitive version of a TV truck, picking camera angles based on internal match logic.
It works! This is lovely, except I've still not fixed the AI bug I wanted to tackle tonight! Oops, I hope tomorrow brings more coding. :)

Inspired from watching AEW Dynamite, I just got UV magic working and have my own-built "titantron" screens in the game! :) It's looking like a wrestling game at last! :)
(Bless you Blender and ProBuilder's UV Editor!)

Believe it or not, this is a milestone! :) I got the open-source UMA2 up and running in Unity, and all these abominations were created at runtime using my existing save system! :)
So happy! :D Hooray!

It's all kinds of janky and bad formatting, but it's 1am and I need to sleep! :) Character histories are in my game! :) You can keep track of who has fought who, how often someone has been used etc.
I can't believe how fast this is all coming together! :) Hopefully I can get towards something resembling my idea. :)

Yay! :) I made some nice progress on my game today and last night! :) You can now drag to select characters, and even see a basic info tab. :)
Very happy. :)
