I woke up at 4am and couldn't sleep so I started reading Soldiers of Salamis by Javier Cercas and there was a long scene of conversation between Cercas and Roberto Bolaño, and then I fell asleep and in my dream Bolaño demanded that I tell him my interpretation of his most famous short stories and I was so star-struck I couldn't say a word. I've never felt so stupid in my life.
