I've tinkered with the last chapter of the WIP tonight. Added a line here and there, tweaked a sentence. It's the most writing I've done in several weeks, and it was very satisfying.

That counts as #writing, right? I'm frustrated by how slow my progress is on this WIP but I don't think it's the story's fault. It's me. Hi, I'm the problem, it's me.

I’ve been honing my craft since my debut novel, Forget Me Not, came out in 2020. I now have five books under my belt and another one on the way. Although I’m by no means popular and I don’t consider myself an expert, I tested a lot of tips and tricks on my writing journey, and some of those have been a tremendous help. The 5Ws technique is a game-changer for writing.

my tip for #WritersBlock: just write what you think you want to write about, regardless of how stupid you think it sounds, then review it the next day, and the next day, etc. and don't be afraid to delete stuff entirely and repeat the process.

this could only work for me, and by work I mean *doesn't actually work*

I've been trying to overcome #WritersBlock by handwriting parts of my #stories.
When there's no inspiration I feel like it's easier to write on paper - but then I have to type it up, which takes just as much effort. I can make progress like this, but it's not very efficient.
Does anyone else do this? How does it fit into your routine?

i find it nearly impossible to write or create anything when i imagine that there might be an audience. the only way i feel able to get into a space that feels "authentic" is to pretend i'm the last human being left alive. then after i set it out in the open, i catch ghosts with it. if some living human being connects with my work, it just feels like a bonus. i'm currently working with some friends on curating some of my written work from previous decades which might make it into the form of a chapbook of some kind, similar to ones i've published in the past. i'm in some sort of a reassessment phase i guess. i'm still stuck musically in 2019, but maybe moving some other material will break something loose. #writing #poetry #selfpublishing #creativity #writersblock
