Check #writersmarket books & online market sites to find #agents who are accepting new authors IN YOUR GENRE. You want to have an agent who matches your genre, if possible. They are more likely to accept you as a client.

Also, submit any manuscripts to them w/ the same attn to guidelines and #QueryLetters I mentioned in my other toot. If they say they only work w/ mysteries, and you send them a sci-fi vampire romance, you wasted their time-- and yours.

Was surprised to find that the #WritersDigest #WritersMarket site -- which, as a database of constantly changing entries, makes a perfect online resource -- is dead.

I'll get the #Kindle version and search it ... but, wow, I'll miss the flexibility of searching the database directly.
