I have two conlangs:

#Lortho [ˈloɾ.tʰo], an Indo-Iranian-inspired agglutinating language with #VSO word order and 10 grammatical cases. I created a LTR, horizontal #writingsystem that is used solely to write Lortho inspired by Tibetan, Devanagari, and Tengwar.

#Dhakhsh [ðæxɕ], a Germanic-inspired analytic language with #SOV word order. I created a vertical, top-to-bottom, RTL writing system used solely to write Dhakhsh inspired by Mongolian, Pahlavi, and Avestan.

I forgot to mention that this was achieved over a four-year period.

Heard about a 9th century Irish monk's lament for excessive drinking scribbled in the #Ogham script on a Latin grammar book. The single-word note says #LATHEIRT, meaning 'drunkenness' or 'hangover'. According to an Old Irish dictionary, this is a compound of LAITH 'ale' + IRT 'death'. Ale-death is such an interesting word.

The "Cascajal Block" is an #Olmec engraved slab found in the State of #Veracruz , #Mexico in 1999. It has been dated to around 900-650 BC (its dating is still controversial) and may represent the oldest #writingsystem in the #Americas , since it contains 62 #undeciphered glyphs (many if them repeated). It is still kept in the village of "Lomas of Tacamichapan", where it was originally found. 1st photo is mine.

I'm working on simplifying how Gobahai's syllabary is generated by taking a vague and incomplete understanding of the Korean writing system and applying it to characters that build syllables instead of creating characters for each and every possible syllable!

This will make it much easier to read while still looking interesting!
