I have many. Some are drafts for one thing that turned into another and some are discarded ideas and some mostly live in my head.

But I have many and they're probabky trying to unionize over neglect aha ha

Really been FEELING horror again lately, feel like I'm rediscovering those things that drew me to writing it in the first place. In particular, the genuine joy and delight it brings me to write, in a way that other writing doesn't. Which are odd descriptors for horror, I guess, but also key. There's a certain visceral JOY in good horror and horror concepts, I think.

Oh, so I've mentioned how I write about grief (trauma) and I think I made some posts about spiritual agency, but I've also made the connection that hand in hand with those, I talk and write a lot about monstrosity and how characters embrace or despair in their (assumed) monstrous sides #writingthoughts #writing

When you get right down to it, *all* narrators are at least a little bit unreliable.

No POV is objective, so it's just a matter of scale really, how much a POV aligns with what's supposed to be reality.

It is now 10:30 at night. The phone has not buzzed with invites to a drink or something. Besides, it's snowing. So, after 40 hours of work, I suppose it's time to sit on the wooden chair and put words on the page.

I would like to call on all writers, but especially horror writers to reconsider the need to kill animals in your narrative. It’s kind of narratively boring at this point. Yes, it’s easy to evoke a reaction, but it also feels emotionally manipulative to the point of being gross to me partly because it is such an easy and common place thing to do. Not saying it’s never valid. But think about whether there aren’t more interesting alternatives. #Writing #WritingThoughts

The other day, I was working on a novel's first scene and realized how crappy it was. Its crap level was "who am I kidding? I'm not a writer".

I polished it a little. It's still crap, but less so.

#writingthoughts I write, horror mostly. Between wondering just what media I've consumed to come up with some scenes I've written, this beastie in my current WIP, is ripping the piss. See, it misbehaves, as creatures of mine do, one literally went "Kill everybody?" and murdered my cast. This beastie wants more people to know about it, specifically MC's friend. Oh the joys.
