You can't get an agent unless you have a publisher.
You can't get reviews unless someone finds your book.
Hell, I got two honorable mentions in Year's Best Fantasy and Horror and am still shouting into the wind.

I haven't written or revised anything in months. I think SmokeLong Summer burned me out. Writing a new first draft almost every day for months left me with a lot of stories with potential, but I'm afraid of discovering they're worse than I think.

Writing a shitty first draft is easy. Rereading it is hard.
