I got #bananui 🍌 , the GUI for #LinuxMobile on feature phones, to work together with #wroomd on a #Nokia2780 with #postmarketOS. It's now almost possible to use it as an actual phone! 📞
UI source code: https://git.abscue.de/obp/bananui/shell
WIP pmaports fork: https://gitlab.com/affenull2345/pmaports/-/tree/nokia-weeknd (currently missing audio for voice calls and kernel packaging)

#wroomd now has mobile data support! I've added some examples to the README: https://git.abscue.de/obp/wroomd#usage
I guess I should now write a #NetworkManager plugin to automate the IP configuration.
Note that this only works on Qualcomm platforms that use both QRTR and bam-dmux (e.g., msm8909 and msm8917 but not msm8916 or msm8953).
#QMI voice calls in one day: Call management is now supported by #wroomd on #LinuxMobile! Here are the changes: https://git.abscue.de/obp/wroomd/-/commit/8eec2bbd
You can already try this on a #bananaphone or similar device on #postmarketOS by downloading the CI artifacts. However, you'll have to write the D-Bus confuration and make the API calls yourself.
You also can't _hear_ any actual voice yet, but there are existing solutions like #q6voiced, which should be easy to adapt to wroomd.
