Just bought a #digirig with my #yaesu ft857 #hamradio. Trying to connect using a MacBook Pro. I've managed to get CAT control with both #flrig and #wsjtx. FT-8 audio seems to work for decoding, but nothing is transmitting.
Any ideas on what to try? Online documentation seems to all be about Windows.

Okay #js8call people, what am I doing wrong? It looks like these are FAST messages based on the timing but with the default time.windows ntp sync and trying the time drift options, I am not decoding squat. I am on 14.280 USB. FT8 in #wsjtx works fine.

Phew; I now have #Gridtracker, #flrig, #WSJTX and #JS8CALL running on a Raspberry Pi 3.

Ham radio help needed, because I did a new setup and I have no idea what setting I'm forgetting.
Using JTDX, I'm seeing band activity accross all bands, but only decoding where that little blue/grey box is on the waterfall... Currently set to between like 600-800 in the screenshot
I have no idea how to make that bigger, but I would like to decode the entire band.
I used to have it set that way, what did I do?

Okay, I got rig control going on my #trusdx through #WSJTX. Now I just need to, you know, go get my general so I can start doing #FT8!
I guess it’s study time.

#LePotato, aka my "HamPotato", is now pulling double duty as a #digipeater and PC interface to my #icom IC7100, plus it's serving my public #gopher page.
The screen res issue was "fixed" with an HDMI dummy plug, and #wsjtx installed easily enough. On my main PC, #GridTracker receives data from WSJTX over the WIFI.
As it's currently configured, though, I need to log into the potato via vnc to switch between #DireWolf and WSJTX. The next step in the project will be automating this changeover.

Recently received a #LePotato board by @librecomputer.
My goal is to use this as a more power efficient replacement to my #RaspberryPi 3b, which currently serves as an #aprs #digipeater, #igate, and remote #wsjtx host.
First impressions: the documentation is pretty lacking, but the board itself seems well made.
More to come!

No contest weekend. Setup another computer for #wsjtx #FT8 & worked some 15m #DX across the pond. France, England, Germany, & Spain. #amateurradio #hamradio

After a couple of years (due to a remodel), I finally got the HF rig out and transmitted and actually was heard. FT8 isnt my favorite digital mode. I never really could figure out the use outside of looking at propagation and whether you can be heard or not. But, it is a start.

Besides scraping the two DLLs from Qt dev env you can also install #OpenSSL for Win from here:
https://slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html
I used Win64 OpenSSL v1.1.1s Light and installed the DLLs to the windows directory.

#Lesson of the day: Unless you're absolutely sure of your #Linux audio setup, disable speech announcements from #Xastir before transmitting from #WSJTX. Unless you like cluttering up the #HF data segments with mechanical voices telling people about all the new #APRS stations that are local to you. 😳 This was one of the rare occasions where poor #shielding of some various cables in the #hamshack actually helped me #debug the problem faster!
