I review a lot of reports of fatal crashes, but this one from #WSMV is one of the worst bits of reporting I have ever read:

"[F]or unknown reasons, the motorcycle became entangled in the semi’s tires behind the cab of the truck, according to police."

The way the article reads, you would think the motorcycle and the semi were sentient, no people involved.

Motorcycles don't go out and "entangle" themselves in semi tires.

This is bad reporting, WSMV. Do better.

"According to MNPD, 31-year-old Patrick Ewin was driving over 100 mph in a white Dodge Charger Hellcat when he lost control and collided with a Honda Insight on Clarksville Pike," killing the other driver.

Vehicles speeds on Clarksville Pike are very high because it's built like a racetrack. We shouldn't be surprised when people use it like one. #TDOT needs to install traffic-calming measures here, and the bridge really could use protected bike lanes.

I continue to be amused by local reporters (perhaps new to #Nashville and not particularly familiar with its neighborhoods) who can't tell where #Bellevue is. This apartment fire in West Meade, near St. Henry's, is in Bellevue according to #WSMV. 🤷

If you haven't crossed 9 Mile Hill, you're not in Bellevue yet.
