Ivy Main at Virginia Mercury says “Virginia has a data center problem”.

She raises a lot of good points, ranging from impact on air quality and the local water table to sprawl in general.

“To drive through Data Center Alley is to witness suburban sprawl on steroids, with its attendant deforestation, loss of farmland and loss of wildlife habitat,“ she writes.
