With improving weather conditions we hiked up to SOTA DM/SX-014 Lausche/Luž in #Lusatia right on the border from #Germany to the #CzechRepublic (POTA DA-0049 Zittauer Gebirge Nature Park, DLFF-0747 Lausche) and only had rain for about 20 minutes. Strong RFI on the mountaintop made it difficult to work #2m in #fm, but #70cm were nice.

The final activation before making it home was at South Llano River State Park (K-3057). It was a bit of a disaster with conditions, my ears and fist and being a bit tired but managed to have a successful activation and work a few familiar calls and a couple of park to parks. #POTA #WWFF #Hamradio #elecraft

You may even find a place that triples as a #GMA activation or quadruples as #SOTA. Four places to advertise, more QSOs. (Just be careful with the text of your POTA advertisement.)

E.g., this discussion would be illegal in POTA-controlled media. There, mentioning of other park activation programs are not allowed.
In the wake of the initial WTF when a colleague was bitten by this, I found out POTA apparently started out of some dissatisfaction with WWFF. Instead of quietly moving out and becoming good neighbors, their rules perpetuate the conflict.

Made it out on Sunday to McKinney Falls State Park (K-3038). Found a nice spot in the shade and had a successful POTA/WWFF joint activation with the Elecraft KX2/AX1. #POTA #WWFF #hamradio #texasstatepark #nature
