I finished book 60 which was Peter Caddick-Adams (@militaryhistori), "Snow & Steel: The Battle of the Bulge, 1944-45". This is a most excellent book on the Battle of the Bulge. This book is greatly detailed with an excellent narrative which makes it very readable.
It was a most excellent book and I recommend it highly.

The remains of British airmen shot down by the Nazis over Dutch waters may have been discovered in a massive rescue operation.
With the help of a €15m national plane-wreck rescue fund, the Dutch have started to sift the wreckage of the British Lancaster ED603, which never returned from a mass bombing mission targeting Bochum in Germany on 13 June 1943.

This evening I was coaxed by a friend into going to London to see #OperationMincemeat (a #musical based on a real #WWII British deception operation). I thought I'd probably enjoy it, but was woefully underprepared for what is genuinely a work of utter brilliance. 10/10, will go again.

"The GOP and Americans more generally will need to take a much tougher stance against those threatening its democratic institutions. In January 1933, the largest democratic party in Germany, the SPD, failed to use its most powerful weapon against the Nazis—calling a general strike."
