I finished book 60 which was Peter Caddick-Adams (@militaryhistori), "Snow & Steel: The Battle of the Bulge, 1944-45". This is a most excellent book on the Battle of the Bulge. This book is greatly detailed with an excellent narrative which makes it very readable.
It was a most excellent book and I recommend it highly.

I finished book 52 which was Ben Macintyre's "Prisoners of the Castle".
If I can be said to have a favorite subject of World War II, a subject that has fascinated me ever since I read Pat Reid's "Escape from Colditz" in high school, that subject would be Colditz Castle and it's time as the Oflag IV-C POW camp for Germany's difficult and prominent POWs.
This was a great book and a fine addition to my 5 other Colditz books (pictured here).

It's another reading afternoon and I'm going to start with part 2 of Peter Caddick-Adams Sand & Steel. In part 1, the training killed a lot of GIs, Tommies, and whatever the Canadians called themselves. Now it's the Germans turn as part 2 starts with the invasion.

@tuphlos Went to NetGalley to look at something else, and found this, and a) I liked the title (and a librarian heroine!), and b) the cover reminds me of something, but I don't know what (what's up with her hair?), and, most important, c) made me think of you!
