July 30th, 1979 - A forty-minute hailstorm bombed Fort Collins, CO with baseball to softball size hail. Two thousand homes and 2500 automobiles were damaged, and about 25 persons were injured, mainly when hit on the head by the huge stones. Sadly, a three-month-old baby died later of injuries. #WXhistory

Snow fell from Mississippi to North Carolina. The storm produced a white Thanksgiving (Nov 28) in Atlanta, Georgia. Flurries fell in northern Florida.
November 22, 1874:
A pair of intense tornadoes occurred west of Huntsville & south of Birmingham, Alabama. Many homes and other structures were destroyed at Tuscumbia and Montevalle by the two wedges. Sixteen people were killed and several dozen more were injured.
November 22nd, 1963:
Light rain/drizzle and chilly temperatures greeted an estimated crowd of 5,000 in front of Hotel Texas in Fort Worth. The crowd gathered to see John F Kennedy before the President attended breakfast at the hotel. The rain would end a short time later.
November 20th, 1900:
A tornado outbreak across the Lower Mississippi Valley resulted in 73 deaths.
