I've been working on placefile customizations. Color coding and line thickness adjustments for the SPC outlooks and MCD's.
Oh yeah, and since they're done (in my eyes), I opened sourced em' too. No credit required. No license to hold you back, take and use as you please. Feel free to make it better.
I'll be adding more over time, like I promised :)

This kind of information, on Hurricane Lee, all in one link is like weather heaven for me. Check this out, scroll down to the bottom (slowly) from the link below. Little details like the gradient of the water temps in the background of the cone of uncertainty layer is 💯

A quick shoutout to one of the simplest and most useful #weather iPhone apps around, Deep Weather.
Deep Weather does one thing and does it very well: making it easy to access and read the Forecast Discussions from the various NWS offices. It also provides quick access to various NWS weather graphics, all in a package that isn’t spewing ads at you or collecting your data.
It’s worth a look if you’re into that sort of thing. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/deep-weather-nws-detailed-wx/id528748182
I added this to the #WXTools hashtag for future reference. Might make it easier for you to find in the future.
@JosephAndriano Ah! You can go here: https://www.weather.gov/nl2/NEXRADView
Click on the radar site that is down, and then click the "Free Messages Tab" that opens up under the map after you click the radar site.

Supercell-Wx now has placefile line popups, and icon popups. It is really functional minus a few things such as animated placefiles when looping.
This latest update also includes a new feature that allows you to set character wrapping in the settings for the placefile pop-ups.

@cameron @5tayerWX Hey welcome! It's great to see more weather folks coming along. I have a list of meteorologists, climate scientists and bots you can follow. Always feel free to ask questions, whether it's about the Fediverse or weather related things. If I can't answer it, I usually know of someone who can. Hashtags are your best friend. It's how you search on the Fediverse.

RE: Supercell-Wx latest test release from yesterday. Dan is under the assumption, based on my experience and putting together some puzzle pieces, that there may be a memory leak happening somewhere. He will be doing some more in-depth testing tonight. If you have any issues, remember you can always use the stable build (but it doesn't have any placefile support).

Supercell-Wx has gotten placefile saving implemented in the test build. Now any placefile you add to the placefile manager will be saved upon reload.
Dan said he will be working on refresh later tonight and if he doesn't finish tonight, it will most likely be implemented within the next day or two.
If you don't want to wait and just gotta have those placefiles saved (again, no automatic refresh just yet) here's the link to the test build:

I did quite a bit of placefile work the past couple of days. Added a few new ones and tweaked some settings in a few.
There's also a new link:
https://placefiles.supercellwx.net/
Latest Supercell-Wx test build has placefile line support now (Still no pop-up support quite yet). Anti-aliasing is now included but not yet able to be toggled.
Test build here (Must be logged in to GitHub to download test build): https://github.com/dpaulat/supercell-wx/actions/runs/5934073616

I added new polygon placefiles for SPC outlooks and watches now that they're supported in Supercell-Wx.
Good morning y'all. I already started working on placefiles again because I'm just in that groove.
In addition to downed radars, I also made a placefile to show radar sites with alarms.
As you can see, KEAX has a pedestal alarm 👀
It sure is hot in the Midwest y'all! I made a placefile that shows the temps, and any heat index values above 108 shows along with it in pink. I think the highest I spotted was 120F heat index!🔥

I made a few website changes. Moved the Nationwide NWS Bot link to the toolbox section. Added additional links to all the pages.
As time goes on, I will add more links (Suggestions welcome). I plan to update the radar apps page, and create a non-radar apps related page here soon.
I want to work on making it more beginner friendly, but also have the expert tools for those who wish to have the resources available in one place.
@failedLyndonLaRouchite They're generally accurate in terms of above/below average, and much of it goes off of future weather model runs along with historic trends.
They even share the model guidance runs they use to make such predictions:
6-10 day analogs - https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/610day/analog.php
Day 8+ upper air tools - https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/short_range/tools/model_guidance.php

Some bad news for those that use the radar site in Goodland, KS (KGLD). The radar has been down for a little over 8 days. The closest estimate to it being fixed would be tomorrow.
With the area being under an enhanced risk today, the other radar sites around will have to suffice.
Alternative sites: Dodge City (KDDC), Grand Island (KUEX), Pueblo (KPUX) or Denver (KFTG)

So it appears as though the significant wildland fire potential outlook image sources have changed and they have decided to use an archived version where the image links will update monthly.
I've decided to replace them with a 3 day significant fire potential outlook instead.
It feels a bit counter productive to the SPC Fire Outlook maps but it appears they have more information.
I'll look to see if I can find a way to add the wildland maps back sometime.
