Played with both ChatGPT4 and Bard this morning. It's one thing to be a stick in the mud about AI and another to put them into some context where they might be useful as AI is unavoidable at this point.

ChatGPT4 can actually do/understand a lot of #xAPI, even with what seems to be an ability to produce statements that look like they'd conform to #xAPIProfiles, at least like #cmi5.

Even did a decent job of inferring a set of KSAs related to creating profiles. I'm going to be pondering this

Most people won't recognize that #xAPI and #ActivityPub are pretty close cousins through their roots in #ActivityStreams 1.0. So, while I know this won't happen because Meta is Meta….. it's a fun Friday thought exercise to imagine #Meta being an insanely competent contributor to open source tools based on ActivityPub that likely could work with xAPI too, with pretty straightforward integration/translation points.

Yo @milt @blakeplock has anyone given ActivityPub's federated Server-to-Server messaging and content pushes a look?

For the record, both #xAPI and ActivityPub are branches, more or less, off of ActivityStreams 1.0.

These json specs aim to do different things, but do them with similar approaches.

All this to say, #opensource eats proprietary's lunch on the daily

The spec only released in 2013 and if you were using it in 2012, buddy, I knew who you were bc otherwise, and I'm pretty confident about this, you didn't know about it.
