I ordered some Traveller CDs from Far Future Enterprises to flush out my PDF collection. I was highly amused by the packaging. Almost a shame I have to open it up.
All of these can be purchased on DriveThru, but you get a lot of bang for your buck buying the CD bundles.

Prototyping my Traveller News Service distribution utility. Very barebones so far.
Need to add:
Static trade routes (connections that will span larger distances).
Store message history in database.
Chance for distribution to off route worlds.
Neighboring sectors.
But pretty good for a couple hours hacking.

Found the best article I’ve ever seen on programming hex movement.

I just might make myself a little Xboat mail tracking utility.
I’m definitely crazy like that.

Been reading the Traveller Adventure to find ideas for future games. Buried in chapter 17 there’s a procedure for determining how long it takes for messages to get around.
It’s very neat, but probably way too time consuming for more than a few messages. I’m tempted to automate it. But that’s probably crazy talk. It would be neat to have a way to know exactly when news gets to them. Of course, I’d need to invent news alerts a lot.
