Now on as #xCoAx2022 's last program action is the keynote of Andreas Broeckmann - he promised the text is going to be available afterwards, so it's worth watching out for, even if you're not at the conference. He compares Lyotard's and Haraway's approaches to resistances to the "technoscience/informatics of domination".
The title slide of @siusoon 's #xCoAx2022 keynote 'Coding Otherwise for SOFTer Futures' is already on the projector, along with Andrรฉ Rangel's laser-X installation, the talk is soon to begin.
Now an interesting philosophical talk by Giuseppe Torre, Basil Vassillicos, and Fabio Tommy Pellizzer, asking "Can phenomenology account for noise?" #xCoAx2022
First paper day of #xCoAx2022 ; already into the third session, my favourites here were a presentation on "critical making methodology" by Pedro Ferreira, and a semantic interpretation system for arbitrary transformed texts (e.g. intercategory word substitution) by Elin Mccready. Also in the second session, a presentation on the confrontation of Space-X and Mexico's Playa Bagdad by Jerรณnimo Reyes-Retana. And of course nice inbetween-the-sessions chats.
Got in a flight case, now "Kontakt (simultan)" can travel nicely to #xCoAx2022
read-the-feminist-manual was accepted for the exhibition during the #xcoax2022 conference in Portugal. Alas, the organization doesn't cover expenses, and on top of it, I'd need to pay registration. I cannot afford it, neither I want to pay for being part of an exhibition. I find it strange that independent artists need to pay while their art research is already so precarious.
As a friend put it, in the north they pay you, in the south you pay.
