Or… fill your personal .Xmodmap with:
keycode 115 = Multi_key
And add on your .xsession file:
xmodmap $HOME/.Xmodmap
Restart your session and use your compose key and letters…

Or, if you use Gnome/KDE/Xfce, go to the Settings > Keyboard > and modify the Touch Compose. ;)
