For my CI workshop at #XDC2023, I am bringing up support for as many of my boards as possible to use as both gateways and test machines.

After getting my NanoPi R4S to boot ipxe (EFI) using upstream uboot yesterday, I tried doing the same on my NanoPi R2S... But it hangs super early in the TPL.

Turns out to be a recent-ish regression in the DDR bring-up code which I bisected, and wrote a partial revert for! Too bad, it still doesn't work on HEAD... due to a 2nd regression...

#XDC2023 is fast approaching, and I would like to host a "Set up your bare-metal CI at home or office" workshop where attendees would bring their hardware of choice and have it exposed on FD.o's gitlab by the end of the 2h.

As a demo, I ordered this tiiiny celeron-based computer for the CI gateway controlling the test machines. Despite its tiny size, it sports 4x2.5G NICs, so no needs for an Ethernet switch if you only have 3 test machines, just a USB hub for the serial consoles \o/
