Newly flowering!
In the front yard, first of season Matilija poppy and in the back a plethora of small hollyock blooms.
The latter are being overrun with California plant bug babies (the little black early instars) but I am controlling them with repeated spraying with a mix of cedar oil, dish soap, and water. Yuck.

Repotted my grown-from-seed Agave parryi plants and pups. Hoping that I gave them a good start for their next stage in life.

After years of drought and hardly any native bees, our bumper crops of flowers are bringing scores of carpenter bees, our shiny black gentle giants. They especially love this Hot Lips salvia.

I have a moon-phase version of the #Xeric Trappist watch, and it is easy to read and yet very striking on the wrist. They are adding sapphire crystals to the next run, albeit without the moon phase complication.

Once upon a time I was a software developer who wrote applications that connected legacy systems to the internet. I worked during the exciting days of the late 90s, through the.com bust, and the final relentless commercialization of the internet until I finally quit several years ago. My current interests include maintaining #biodiversity #raptors I'm learning about our native plants and animals here in Colorado. Just tore up 1600 square feet of grass (lawn not weed haha) and I'm going #xeric
