I'm currently daily wearing a pair of #xero shoes HFS that have a perfect fit, but don't have enough cushioning for daily hard floor use and road #running

I might be able to get away with a good insole. I had a pair of heavy duty work gel insoles but they weren't for a wide toe box and felt weird.

What high impact insoles or shoes with a Xero Shoes HFS fit and Altra Escalante cushioning do you recommend?

Is *anyone* out there using FOSS for accounting?

I'm struggling with Quickbooks desktop (which you can only get as a subscription now, unless you pay four figures for an enterprise license).

#Xero comes highly recommended to me, but I'm loathe to go "#cloud" for accounting. Very loathe indeed.

But while I want to try FOSS for my personal accounting, I just can't make the leap for business yet. I wish I could. But I was wondering if anyone out there already has.

The project management tool we use, #workflowmax by #xero , is being retired in June so we have 10 months to migrate out of it. We looked at hundreds, and trialed dozens, of other systems before committing to WFM, and never really liked any of them. It's time to build our own!

Why has the commentary about the #xero lay offs, in the media and on socials, been so positive? When they announced plans to fire 800 people, the share price jumped 10%. Turns out not having to pay people is great for “shareholder value”, though now those who have lost their jobs are having to scramble to find ways to cover mortgages, food costs, etc. This from a company that make pre-tax profits of over $200 million last year. Not sure why but I would have expected more pushback

It has been 6+ years since I wore a Xero shirt, but wearing one today in solidarity for my friends at Xero that are hurting at the moment.

Look, I understand everyone at #Xero that has been laid off... Sucks for you, it truly does.

But when I see all the posts on e.g. LinkedIn about "HireAXero"...

Did anyone rally behind the people at Catalyst that were laid off a few weeks ago? I didn't see anything for those folks...

Do people that worked at Xero deserve a job more than people from Catalyst, or any other company, for that matter?

Any #smallbusiness people out there have thoughts on what they're using for #invoicing these days? I'm currently on #Xero - but looking at #Freshbooks, #Quickbooks, or #Stripe invoicing even? It feels like they're all settling into similar pricing for basic invoice + expense tracking.

Stock likely to be available via spreadsheet currently using Metcash.

Looking for suggestions of a supermarket process with ordering, stock levels, POS integration and works with Xero.

Don't normally shill for brands on social media, but I absolutely love my new minimalist shoes from #Xero. Wide toe-box, zero drop, and a flexible sole that lets you feel the ground, while still providing some cushioning. My feet feel less tired in these after a day of walking than in more traditional sneakers.

Thinking how much better these are for my feet and hips, I can't help but feel that the makers of women's designer shoes should all go to jail.

@TechXero @rae I have a lot of distros running on different machines and I've found #Xero to be the easiest to fall in love with. Did I mention that it's gorgeous???

@phillipjordan Thanks for the heads-up about the Earth Runners. They look a bit like the huarache-style sandals I made myself from a kit from #Xero shoes (photo below)…for which I had to get a sole way larger than my usual shoe size so I could chop off the toe end to make a wide-enough shape.

I prefer the Uintas bc gravel is less likely to get under my foot. And I’ve just finished making a pair of sandals I like even more than the Uintas; will be field testing them in the next few months.
