A question for the Mastodon #monitor enthusiasts. I was looking at the #ROG #Strix #XG49VQ today. I noticed the #fonts in #Windows11 were really bad.

I asked a sales rep what could be done to improve it. He said it was a crap monitor and was stretching a 1080p video signal. I was directed to buy a 4K 49” instead, which wouldn’t distort the fonts.

This monitor was connected directly to a PC @ 3840 x 1080. This guy was BS’ing me, right? Any idea why the fonts were garbage?
