2017 "Laowushan" raw puerh from Xizihao Daughter is surprisingly mellow for its relatively young age. And despite its mellow flavor, leaves a lengthy impression in the empty cup and in my mind. Calming, body centered energy completes the picture.

Trying another puerh from Xizihao Daughter Tea, 2017 Ginseng Brick Ripened Puerh. Warming, easy drinking ripe puerh with a pleasant huigan (lingering bitterness) and surprisingly zippy head based energy.

Xizihao Daughter "Oddly Confused" 2016 Raw Puerh Tea. Xizihao Daughter is a Taiwan based tea supplier who (mostly) specializes in puerh. Artistic labels, unusual names, mysterious origins, fairly expensive teas, quasi luxury trappings. (Sound familiar?) I picked up a sampler of some of their young-middle aged puerh. "Oddly Confused" is good now and I can kind of see where it is going. I bet it will be really good in a few years once it completely settles in to it's flavors, but it isn't there yet.
