Just stepped out of another live session at #xl8innovation (Innovation in #Translation Summit) titled "How will #ArtificialIntelligence shake up the future of #translation". Key points that I thought were interesting: 1) Too many folks conflate #MachineTranslation and #AI as one in the same; 2) #AI can be used to assist #translators in overhead tasks like invoicing and scheduling; 3) could we reframe use of #NMT as a front-end vs back-end process? #TranslationStudies #xl8

Attended the #InclusiveLanguage spotlight session at the Innovation in #Translation Summit #xl8Innovation. Was interesting to see Canada seems to be ahead of many jurisdictions in this space, though I still believe there's lots to be done.
