A co się stało z #psi i protokołem #xmmp? Kiedyś było o nim głośno i przez jakiś czas nawet #google z niego korzystał z tego co pamiętam, a od wielu lat cisza. Z tego co czytałem ostatnio, to xmmp podobno nie zyskało popularności, bo bazowało na #xml, a #matrix na bazie #json. Czy to jedyny powód?

@skeeve Regelmäßig: #Signal, #Threema, #Telegram und #SMS. Telegram nur für unwichtige Gruppen, nix vertrauliches. SMS für die WhatsApp only Nutzer. Twitter Account habe ich, bespiele ich aber nicht. #Jabber bzw. #XMMP hatte ich früher, bis mein Mail Anbieter den Dienst geschlossen hat. Kontakte hatte ich dort nur während meiner #Piratenpartei Mitgliedschaft. #Matrix ist zwar vorhanden, aber quasi keine Relevanz für mich, da bis jetzt keine weiteren Kontakte dort.

Ma infatti per un progetto ponte come #MonitoraPA mi sembra il punto di equilibrio ottimale.

Però un bridge #Matrix <=> #XMMP non mi dispiacerebbe, se esistesse.

Proprio per raggiungere più persone.

Anche se con quasi 300 persone in chat, già a volte ci si perde.

At my work at the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB) we use some nice #OpenSource tools: e.g. instead of Skype or Teams we can chat with each other via XMMP. This is then the "TIB Chat". Pidgin runs on the Windows or Gnu/Linux clients and you can use Conversations for your mobile phone.🚀

¿el #xmmp de #riseup esta caído o es mi red?

So #Riseup #XMMP has not complete #OMEMO support. 😞 And #Gajim 1.0* and also Conversations doesn't have #OTR support anymore. So there are two choices for me:

1. Use another XMPP fully OMEMO compatible provider. Any suggestions? Conversations.im looks great of course, but I think it's to centralized. I can also install a light-weight OMEMO compatible XMPP server, but not now.

2. Use Pidgin and another Android client with OTR. But OMEMO is the future and Gajim works better IMO.
