I've now seen a few posts on about people missing either or .

For anyone who hasn't used it and is unaware, you can get the same player experience with by going into settings and selecting the classic Winamp skin under appearance.

There is also and offering alternatives but overall i've enjoyed Audacious the most and use it instead.

@firewyre Last time i used was in the late 90's. I then switched to and used .

It's cool they are bringing the back for MS users.

I've not tried it but also has a build for anyone who now uses Windows but misses XMMS from Linux. 😂

@poorpocketsmcnewhold I'm almost certain i caught news of this a few years back, it absolutely looks familiar.

For me is what i miss, not really . It would be weird for me to see Winamp on my Desktop in , i much prefer with this XMMS / Winamp like generic skin for this reason.

I will admit this might be slightly ironic since i have a post here on linking to 3 ways to install on Linux lol.

I mostly use but found that useful too.

@shawnhooper That's pretty cool for the users. I did see has a Windows build as well but haven't tried it.

I'm strictly & here.

I did use at jobs i held in the 90s though where i used Windows workstations and at home, before switching to Linux and using back in the day.
