The best way is asking in their chatrooms. But generally speaking, you need a way to boot custom OS for your device. I don't have experience with #Lumia but regarding many #Android devices, they have #fastboot which is a mode you enter and you can flash your device with custom stuff.

However not all devices are "unlocked". For instance, my #xperia_mini requires unlocking before I can flash anything I want with it. Fortunately, Sony gives the unlock code :D
