I am running a between-subject design that's essentially a multiple choice test.

Each participant sees 8 questions, each with 1 "correct" answer.

I'd like to analyze whether my test group scores higher than chance.

What's the best way to analyze this?

My best guess: Aggregate every question and run a χ2 against the expected values (pass/fail x expected chance/actual test group). Is this fine?

I'm a postdoc at Zürich #philosophy straddling the line between philosophy and science.

I research conceptual engineering, experimental philosophy, and philosophical methods more generally, and love arguing philosophers need empirical data in places they might not want. Sometimes I even collect that data myself, and have dabbled in VR studies, lexicography, psychology, and even a tiny bit of ethnography.
