Stylish, timeless. Damn.

It came with Windows 7 out of the box, but that install didn't survive long. Been running Debian, Gentoo, Fedora, Arch, ... probably a few others.

Getting spare parts is getting harder - the battery has been replaced as well as the wifi board (mostly to get better wireless performance out of it).

To get rid of the error message I commented out this entry in `/etc/apt/sources.list.d/oem-somerville-bulbasaur-meta.list` with kind of a bad feeling. #dell #xps13 #ubuntu

Had no idea what somerville-bulbasaur was about. Turns out it is about the #DELL hardware support. :-/ oem-somerville-meta and factory-meta can be found in the dell repos but oem-somerville-bulbasaur-meta can't #ubuntu #jammy #xps13

Yesterday I forced my #ubuntu LTS 20.04 to update to 22.04 (#jammy) on my dell #xps13 9310 by executing `do-release-upgrade -d`.

The update was done within an hour and it was successful. But after the update apt was missing a component called `somerville-bulbasaur`.

Experience with #Qualcomm Atheros on #Linux is so dire that I just went ahead and ordered #Intel AX200. Luckily it's still PCIe. In my newer #Dell @#XPS13 it's already soldered to the motherboard. But at least it's Intel.
