- $8 Arduino clone with wireless that can talk to the pressure sensor: https://www.amazon.com/Songhe-Internet-Development-Wireless-Micropython/dp/B09J94LQ67
- $17 Pressure sensor with male plug: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/16476
- $30 Inflatable butt plug (with bonus vibrator! Sweet!) https://www.pinkcherry.com/products/fanny-hill-s-inflatable-vibrating-butt-plug
The rest is just misc odds and ends like tubing, connectors, and a few wires. The pressure sensor is I2C, and the arduino sends JSON to #xtoys.
#xtoys drives the algorithm. It's a simple threshold detector. You keep a circular buffer and keep the average pressure, then cut for 30-60s if you see a spike. #xtoys offers a GUI so you can set the cutoff.
I don't like the design of the Edge-O-Matic. They built their own vibrator out of 3D printed parts, which means they need a board that runs at 5V and 3.3V. Also, the 3D printed vibe would be impossible to clean, and they have to put gui stuff into the device. It's much cleaner to have a computer do all that heavy lifting and use a real bluetooth vibe.
@drdevonprice #asfr! Enjoy this extremely old post I wrote up 15 years ago. This was back when Macs were shipping with remote controls. I had the idea: what if you put on wireless headphones and rigged up the remote to do triggers. Then you could be controlled by the remote...

Technology has come a long way since then. If I were to modernize it, I'd connect the sub to HomeAssistant so they could be connected to the home's computer system. They could be scheduled and automated the same as the lights, the speaker systems, etc, just another device for the home computer to attach to. Proximity detectors could make sure the sub is following their routine.
Did I mention that HomeAssistant connects up to #xtoys ? You could drive wireless sex toys from the same system.
@notyou1515 thank you, it's going to be a free livecast workshop on datingkinky.com ❤️
And I am brushing up my rudimentary knowledge, so the nudge for #xtoys on the more tech side options is useful.
@Omisspearl Please post a link when you post about #teledildonics!
(Also, do you know about #xtoys? The kinds of things you can get up to with that software is crazy. It's a teledildonics toolbox.)
I'll also add that I have another tease on #xtoys to use files like these with a nogasm (https://maustec.io/collections/edge-o-matic-base-units/products/eom3k) $450 for a toy is quite expensive though, when you can get the job done much simpler by just putting an inflatable plug+pressure sensor into your bum and sending that data to #xtoys to cut the vibrator so you never come while being hypnotically conditioned and buzzed.... My simpler version only costs $100 not counting the bluetooth vibe you need to use #xtoys. It uses an ESP8266 chip, a pressure sensor, and a few odds and ends you can get from a hardware store or amazon.
This next part I'll only sketch out, as it requires more work but allows more detailed haptic tracks. I use OpenFunScripter (https://github.com/OpenFunscripter/OFS) to mark out a .funscript file that contains my vibrator commands. From there, use a script to convert those .funscripts to a format that can be read with #xtoys by scripting audacity. The process is quite baroque though, and won't fit in these margins.
I'd much prefer if there was a way to embed a .funscript into an audio file and have #xtoys just read that. I have an RFC to do this by putting the funscript as embedded subtitles that are read by a program, with the goal of making a cross-platform standard for haptic audio files instead of every creator making their own formats and players.
Any file that works on #xtoys works by embedding a third audio track alongside the normal audio that controls the vibrator. There's no standard on how this should be done and each creator has their own standard, which is annoying.
The mechanics are simple though. Load up your audio file in audacity, make sure you have two audio tracks. Add a third empty audio track, then use Generate -> Chirp to add frequency commands to the new audio track. Earresitable uses 0Hz = 0% vibration and 1000Hz = 100% vibration. If the track is silent, the vibrator stays at the current value until you change it. Export your audio track with ffmpeg as a .m4a file (more on this later) and you can now use the file with xtoys.
For more instructions, read here: https://xtoys.app/teases/-MpsE7jwW38E73nr-8Py
The file you produce won't be usable with most audio players, and that can be annoying. Adding the chirps is also a pain. Luckily there is an easier way...
From here, you'll also need files. Currently, the only #haptic files you can find are from 3 authors:
- NNPP (not linked for safety reasons) : releases #bimbo files with open triggers to common things like licking lips and breathing. He has a stained reputation within the community of being unsafe. His files can be played with #xtoys.
- Earresistable https://www.patreon.com/Earesistible : Femdom hypnosis, not as big of a catalog compared to Shibby.
To use files from these creators, you need to load these files into a player like this: https://xtoys.app/teases/-MpsE7jwW38E73nr-8Py (my program). You can also find "teases" provided by each creator.
There's also:
- Shibby https://shibbydex.com/home : Femdom hypnosis on a variety of subjects. Her website also doubles as a haptic audio player, so you don't need #xtoys.
If anyone knows of other creators, please respond and let me know!
If you want to learn how to create your own haptic files, keep reading....
The basic idea here is that you need to have some sort of program that can drive a vibrator while playing the audio file. Thanks to the fine folks at #buttplugio this is do-able from a web browser. You'll need use a modern version of Chrome and you'll need a vibrator that works with bluetooth and buttplug.io. Check the list of vibrators on #xtoys to get a list of toys that are supported by buttplug.io. Go to xtoys.com, click on the "+" sign in the top right. If you see your toy in the list, you're good to go. Most #lovense toys work just fine.
